Fantastic place for the pups

I had the most wonderful stay at Pacific Shores Inn! I got a partial ocean view room, and could see the water from the comfort of my bed each morning. The staff members were kind and welcoming. Their sister property, PB Surf Inn, refilled my water bottle each day which was convenient. There are yoga classes at Palisades park just a quick walk away - 9am Tues/Thurs and more times via PBsunsetyoga on Instagram. The location of the hotel is very walkable, and I was able to jump into the ocean a few times and get back to the room quickly when I was ready to shower off! There are many good restaurants and coffee shops nearby - I recommend Kono’s and Better Buzz. Ray’s Rentals also offers a discount for hotel guests for a beach cruiser rental :) The hotel gave me a slightly later check out time which helped make my last morning extra special and full of fun activities. Thank you for such a lovely stay!!

What a fantastic location! You're truly one minute from the beach and surrounded by cafés, bars, and restaurants. It feels like coastal travel at its best. The great: Freshly renovated rooms, charming coastal décor with plantation shutters, and a new bathroom that feels clean and modern. There is plenty of parking, the staff are friendly, and the overall environment feels clean and safe. For the price, it is an impressive value. The not-so-great: There is no kettle or microwave, and the windows don’t open, so you miss out on enjoying the ocean breeze. The pillows were very thin, although luckily I had brought my own. I stayed in Room 53 at the front. While traffic noise didn’t bother me as a city person, the flag rope tapping against the pole went on all night. Overall, this is a great place to stay and I would absolutely recommend it. The negatives are minor inconveniences rather than deal-breakers. I will definitely stay here again.

We love that they allow us to bring our small pups with us! The location is awesome!! It's only a 2-minute walk to the beach! The price is average in the summer and great in the winter and the service is also great!

Highly recommend this property, super clean and even nicer employees! I plan on coming here for many years! Maybe one minute walk to the beach!

Loved the location of this property.. if you need something close to beach clean to stay..perfect spot;) walk to Konos for breakfast and coffee.. yumm

Seriously, do not book a room here. If you do, there might not be a spot left for me next time. Here is why you should definitely "avoid" it: The views are too good: You’ll spend your whole trip staring at the Pacific instead of checking your emails. The beds are dangerous: They are so comfortable you will sleep through your alarm and miss your morning run. The staff are too nice: They’ll treat you so well that going back to your real life will feel like a tragedy. The location is a problem: Being steps from the best tacos and beaches in San Diego makes it impossible to leave. 5 stars. Now please, go find somewhere else to stay so my favorite room is available for my next visit! Would you like me to add the Pacific Shores Inn to make this review more official... Sincerely, SH & HB
